Quartz Composite Care Instructions

Quartz Composite Sink Care & Maintenance

Quartz sinks are designed to meet the demands of modern living. Follow these general instructions to care for and maintain your quartz sink.

CLEANING

Clean your quartz sink regularly using a non-abrasive sponge and dishwashing soap. Rinse and dry completely with a clean, soft cloth.

SURFACE LUSTER

Clean, rinse and dry sink completely. To restore luster and extend the time between cleanings apply a thin, even coating of Quartz Sink Conditioner, food-safe mineral oil, or olive oil to the entire sink surface with a cloth. Remove excess with a cloth or leave overnight. Reapply as needed.

REMOVE SCUFFS AND STAINS

Use a magic eraser sponge to remove light scuffs, stains, and metallic marks. On stubborn areas use a soft scouring pad and mild abrasive cleaner (Soft Scrub® or Bar Keeper’s Friend®). Clean, rinse and dry sink completely then apply Quartz Sink Conditioner.

SURFACE DEPOSITS

To remove hard water, calcium or lime use Lime Away® or CLR® cleaner. Alternatively use white vinegar on a paper towel and rinse after 20 minutes.

TIPS

Quartz sinks are versatile and durable. However, no sink is scratch-proof. Take care when handling heavy objects and ceramicware in the sink. Use the optional protective bottom grids(s) and regularly clean the sink and apply Quartz Sink Conditioner or olive oil to ensure years of enjoyment and service in your home.

Metallic surface marks occur when small amounts of metal from utensils and pots & pans are removed when rubbed across the high harness quartz surface. Such cosmetic marks are most visible on light colored sinks and can easily be removed with a magic eraser sponge. Use the optional protective bottom grids(s) and regularly clean the sink and apply Quartz Sink Conditioner or olive oil to ensure years of enjoyment and service in your home.

DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, abrasive scouring pads, metal-scouring pads, bleach or alkali cleaners such as ammonia, and do not use the sink for cleaning paint or grout materials. If you encounter staining liquids, such as dyes or juices, rinse off as soon as possible.
If a color-matched disposal flange is installed it should be removed periodically and cleaned with a non-abrasive sponge and dishwasher soap.
